Welcome to Bassett Maple Co. We’re Charlie and Jacob Bassett — brothers, owners, and the hands behind every evaporator we make.

We started this company to carry on a family tradition that began in the woods behind our childhood home. Some of our best memories were made huddled around the warmth of a maple syrup evaporator, helping our dad collect sap and boil it down into something special. We still remember that first taste of hot syrup — and the stories shared around the fire on cold spring nights. After our dad passed, continuing that tradition became personal. We wanted to help others — especially fathers and sons — make the same kinds of memories we grew up with.

What began as a homemade prototype turned into something bigger. After a few syrup seasons (and a few fires), we designed the evaporators we offer today — built to be simple, efficient, and long-lasting.

Today, we design, fabricate, and ship every evaporator ourselves from our shop in Grand Haven, Michigan. Whether you're just tapping your first tree or building out your backyard sugar shack, our goal is to make the syrup-making process easy and memorable.
