Take Your Maple Syrup Production to the Next Level

The Bassett Maple Co. 2x4’ Maple Syrup Evaporator is built for hobbyists who are ready to scale up and get serious about syrup-making. With an impressive 11–13 gallons per hour evaporation rate, this evaporator combines efficiency, durability, and performance to help you produce more syrup with less effort.

Why Choose the 2x4’ Evaporator?

  • Outperforms the Competition – Boils 11–13 gallons per hour, outpacing most hobby-sized evaporators on the market so you can keep up with larger sap runs.
  • Heavy-Duty, Long-Lasting Construction – Fabricated from thick American steel with a high-temperature powder-coated finish to handle years of rugged, seasonal use.
  • Optimized Draft System – Large airtight door and pan gasket maximize efficiency. Add the optional forced draft blower to increase evaporation rates and reduce wood consumption even further.
  • Premium Stainless Steel Pans – Boiling and feed pans are made from 20ga 304 stainless steel for superior heat transfer and long-lasting performance. All pans are TIG-welded, lead-free, and watertight.
  • Versatile Capacity – Perfect for 20–80 taps, this evaporator bridges the gap between small-scale backyard setups and larger hobby operations.

Don’t wait until the season starts — secure your Bassett Maple Co. evaporator today! With fast 2–3 day turnaround beginning October 15th, you’ll be ready to boil as soon as the sap starts running.

2 home made evaps, and now a great bassett evap!

NW Il. On the Rock river. Silver maples along the river. Big and old. Been sapping 10 years, from 1 tree to start, to 80 trees now. Put the Bassett together, loaded it up, and was boiling in 20 minutes outdoors. 4 good boils this season. 850 gallons of sap, 15 gallons of syrup. Easy clean up.

Making Maple Syrup 2025

Charlie was very easy to work with amateurs like us. He gave us suggestions of what to buy, and even when we didn’t buy the right things he was very accommodating. We enjoyed our maple syrup, making and would recommend them to others.

Evaporator

We are very happy with our new evaporator and pan for boiling down our maple syrup. Works wonderful and we’d like to thank Charlie Bassett! Looking to add a few things next year! We boiled down to several gallons of syrup!
